What's a Sunday Service Usually Like?
A service is typically 90 minutes long and includes announcements, prayer, worship music, and a message. A service at GGC is centered around one main thing: experiencing the presence of God together. This is expressed through music and singing, spending time connecting with others, hearing life-forming teaching, and praying for one another. If you have kids, we have excellent programming to make sure they are safe and enjoy coming to church too.
What is the Style of Worship Music?
The people of GGC are of all ages with differing styles and tastes in music which we consider to be a good thing! You’ll find the style of our worship is “young,” but the heart of our worship is timeless. As a result, the songs we incorporate into our services range from contemporary worship to traditional hymns. During this time, we encourage you to participate as you feel comfortable.
What Kind of Sermon Messages Will I Hear?
Sermons are topical and Bible based. The messages are meant to be practical so you can walk away with applications for your life. If you miss one or would like to listen to it again, sermons are available on Facebook, our website, or our GGC app.
What Do You Offer For Children?
You have some options. You are welcome to keep your children with you during the service, or they can join other children for an age-related Bible teaching. We work hard to provide a safe atmosphere where your kids can have fun and learn about Jesus. We have trusted volunteers and staff creating great environments for all of our kids, and we have a place for the whole family.
Nursery for ages 0-2 and Toddler classes for ages 2-4. Nursery and Toddler care is provided during the worship time as well as the sermon. We love to see families singing praises to Jesus together. Which is why for children K-5th grade, their program starts after the singing stops. At that time, we release the children to be escorted to their kids’ program.
How Should I Dress?
Our church family comes together with no formal dress code. Some enjoy the opportunity to dress up while others prefer the comfort of the casual clothes they wear every day. You’ll find most people dress casually. We want you to be comfortable, and you are invited to come as you are.
Ushers Will Greet and Direct You
Ushers will greet you at the door (with a smile!) and direct you to the sanctuary, restrooms, kid’s areas, or where you can get a free cup of coffee. If you have a question or need assistance, don’t hesitate to ask them.
Our Info Desk is Where You Can Get Your Questions Answered
Looking for some information about GGC? Stop by the Info Desk right outside the sanctuary where a friendly person is there to greet you and answer any questions you may have. Visit them and put them to work!
They’re happy to help and have a gift for any first-time visitor.
Please Visit Our Café Area
We offer free coffee and hot tea. Drinks are available before and after the service. Many times, you will be able to find some goodies to munch on as well.
Please help yourself and enjoy!
Following the Service
Immediately following the message there is opportunity for anybody who would like personal prayer. When the service concludes, you are welcome to stay and make some new friends before you head out for the rest of your day’s activities. On your way out, we encourage you to introduce yourself to our Pastoral staff. Pastors John and Noah are always happy to make time for guests.
